Next Meeting: July 3, 2024!

Once upon a time...
way back when, around 1967 and 1968, there was
The Anglo-German Club Hamm/
der Deutsch-Englische Club Hamm

Under the patronage of leading British officers and teachers of the Windsor Schools and Hamm's Lord Mayor Dr. Günter Rinsche it came into existence in 1967. There was a great Foundation Meeting held at Hotel Feldhaus. Soon there were more than 500 members.

The big problem was the limited number of British people in Hamm. The Club grew larger, but the newcomers were solely Germans by then. That's why the British officers lost their penchant for continuing any activities and the organisation was soon to be dissolved.

Is there anybody who might remember the organisation. Seems people forgot all about it.
In case of your having more information, please let me know, do drop me a line by e-mail.
